John’s Academy of Gymnastics opened in the summer of 2011, led by owner and head coach John Morgillo. From the start, John envisioned fast growth, a fun and positive learning environment, and the creation of one of the premier competitive gymnastics programs in the state.

 

All great things start small - and we proved that from day one. Our original facility was under 5,000 square feet, forcing our staff to excel in efficiency, creativity, and technical knowledge to fuel the program’s early growth.

Fast forward to October 2017, when we proudly unveiled our new location: a larger facility, bigger teams, a stronger staff, and an even more enjoyable recreational program. We had officially reached our goal of becoming one of the top gymnastics programs in the state, but our vision didn’t stop there.

Since 2017, JAG has produced state, regional, and national champions, establishing us not only as one of the top clubs in Connecticut, but as a leading program throughout the entire Northeastern region.

To date, JAG has coached 27 athletes into collegiate athletic careers, including:

15 Division I athletes

6 full athletic scholarship recipients

3 Division II athletes

7 Division III athletes

2 collegiate club athletes

College athletics is our ultimate goal as a gym. It is our way of giving back to JAG families for their years of dedication and commitment to our program.

 

We are proud of what we have built—but even more excited for what comes next. Our future goals are set even higher, and we believe those goals can be achieved with your athlete joining us as we continue our climb from the bottom to the top.
