Recreational Programs

At JAG, gymnastics is for everyone - and our curriculum is designed to support every child’s growth. We offer a progressive, level-based program where student development is continuously evaluated, because we believe “what gets measured gets achieved.”

Our classes run in 8-week sessions with small student to instructor ratios, ensuring each athlete receives focused attention and individualized instruction. Gymnastics provides the foundation for all sports, thanks to its unmatched emphasis on coordination, strength, balance, and fine motor development.

CAREGIVER & CHILD
(Ages 1-3)

This class gently introduces young children to the gymnastics environment—a safe, supportive space where they can practice and develop new abilities. Through climbing, rolling, hanging, jumping, running, and engaging sensory activities, children are encouraged to explore movement while taking in new faces, colors, sights, and sounds. A familiar adult participates alongside the child to support each new discovery.


This stage is all about exploration, confidence-building, and early motor development.

This stage marks a period of new confidence and independence as children are now ready to participate on their own. At JAG, we provide a safe, structured environment where your child can develop both fine and gross motor skills through foundational gymnastics instruction.


In addition to physical development, children are introduced to important social skills, learning how to interact with peers, follow directions, take turns, and build positive group behaviors. Activities include vault, bars, balance beam, tumbling, and trampoline.

KIDS PROGRESSIVE (Ages 3-4)

GIRLS PROGRESSIVE (Ages 5-6, 7+)

Girls Progressive Classes are ideal for elementary-aged children who are curious, energetic, and eager to learn. At JAG, we nurture that curiosity through a hands-on, kinesthetic learning experience that introduces fundamental gymnastics skills while developing strength, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness.


These skills not only enhance each child’s gymnastics performance but also build a strong foundation for success in other sports and physical activities. Activities include vault, bars, balance beam, tumbling, and trampoline, with more advanced skill development than our Kids Progressive classes.

At JAG, our Kids Fitness program focuses on developing basic gymnastics skills along with strength and conditioning. Nothing compares to the total-body conditioning that gymnastics provides—making this class an excellent way to help your child become stronger for any sport, or simply to build healthier habits and a more active lifestyle.


Each student is screened on their physical abilities at the start of the session. At the end of the 8-week program, they are re-tested to measure progress and celebrate improvements.

TUMBLING
(Ages 7+)

JAG’s Tumbling classes are perfect for cheerleaders, dancers, gymnasts, or anyone eager to learn how to tumble! Whether you're aiming to make your school’s cheer team, wanting to add exciting tricks to a dance solo, or simply looking to master tumbling basics or advanced skills—you will FLIP over this class!


Our tumbling program includes:

 

  • Strength and flexibility training

  • Foundational tumbling development

  • Introduction to new tumbling skills

Individualized instruction based on each student’s level and personal goals. We recommend that students be 7 years or older to participate. No prior tumbling experience is required as athletes are grouped according to ability.
